Who is Sharon Pearson?

Born to a single mother and absentee father, Sharon is the second of three girls raised in Chicago on the city's West Side, in the Austin neighborhood.
Pearson fell in love with the written word at an early age,and discovered a talent for creative writing that has become a life-long passion. At the age of eleven, Pearson had a poem published in an anthology for young poets, and began journal writing a year later. She kept the habit up to help her heal from an assault at sixteen, a miscarriage at eighteen, a death of her older sister at twenty-one, and a bold move to Detroit at the age of twenty-two.
Through it all, she has written fragments of short stories, a poem that has been published in an anthologies by poetry.com and the World Poetry Movement.
Sharon is currently living in Chicago working on getting a Bachelor's degree in journalism and photography.
